The Big Room présente son 1er album « SABA ».

Ce trio, né il y a 4 ans, est composé de Sylvain Didou à la contrebasse (Rouge, Derby Derby), Florian Chaigne à la batterie (Colunia, into the Maelström de David Chevallier) et Pierre-yves Merel au saxophone ténor (Trois ténors pour Bex et Goubert, Hoarse).

The Big Room développe son propre langage à travers des compositions originales inspirées de la musique d’Ornette Coleman et d’Albert Ayler. Sur cet album, le trio s’est enrichi du trompettiste Yoann Loustalot sur 3 morceaux.

The Big Room est soutenu par le Pannonica et fait partie du collectif 1Name4aCrew.

La musique du trio célèbre cette liberté tant recherchée. Étendre la base des conventions traditionnelles du jazz pour rechercher l’ouverture et la spontanéité dans la découverte de nouveaux horizons.
